The redistribution of public servants represents a method of filling a public position from the reserve body of public servants, at the request of the leaders of public authorities or institutions.
The redistribution is done to a vacant or temporarily vacant public position, based on the information/proposals sent by the National Agency of Public Servants.

- the public office to be:

   · at the same level, respecting the category, class, and professional rank of the public servant 

   · lower-level public office, with the written consent of the public servant

- the study, seniority, and specific conditions requested must be met.

- A professional test can be organized by the authority or public institution where the vacant or temporarily vacant public position is located - the redistribution procedure, as well as the manner of conducting the professional test for redistribution purposes, are established by an order of the President of the National Agency of Civil Servants, which is published in the Official Gazette of Romania, Part I.- The redistribution of public servants from the reserve body is ordered by the President of the National Agency of Public Servants, at the proposal of the leaders of public authorities or institutions, for the public servant declared admitted following the professional testing.
- The redistribution to a public position in the category of high-ranking public servants is done by decision of the Prime Minister, according to the appointment competence, at the proposal of the leaders of the public authorities or institutions where the public position is vacant or temporarily vacant.
