•    the public authority or institution has ceased its activity under the conditions provided by law, and its duties and personnel have not been taken over by another public authority or institution;
•    the public authority or institution has been relocated to another locality, and the civil servant does not agree to relocate with it;
•    the public authority or institution reduces its personnel as a result of the reorganization of its activities, by abolishing the position held by the civil servant;
•    following the admission of an application for reinstatement in the civil service position previously held by a civil servant who was unlawfully or unjustifiably dismissed or removed from office, as of the date on which the court decision ordering reinstatement becomes final; 
•    the civil servant no longer meets one of the following requirements:
1.    the education and professional experience requirements prescribed by law for holding the civil service position;
2.    the requirement to provide, by means of a certificate or, as applicable, another type of document, proof of completion of a professional development or specialization program expressly required by law for occupying  certain civil service positions;
3.    the requirement concerning the obtaining of an endorsement or authorization, as provided by law, where such endorsement or authorization is mandatory for the relevant civil service position and is justified by the performance of duties requiring such endorsement or authorization;
•    the civil servant’s physical and/or mental health, as established by a decision of the competent medical assessment bodies, no longer allows them to perform the duties corresponding to the civil service position held;
•    following the unjustified refusal of a senior civil servant to comply with a mobility measure.

Civil servants leave the Reserve Body and cease to hold civil servant status in the following situations:
•    upon expiry of the 2-year period from the date of entry into the Reserve Body;
•    where the National Agency of Civil Servants redistributes the civil servant to a suitable vacant civil service position and the civil servant refuses the position;
•    upon completion of 12 months from the date of employment under an individual employment contract or under any other form of professional or occupational activity, under the conditions expressly provided by law;
•    at the request of the civil servant;
•    upon the occurrence of a circumstance resulting in the termination by operation of law of the civil servant’s service relationship.
